Meet Your Guide
My name is Zach Petitjean. I have been in love with the outdoors since I was very young. I grew up trout fishing the crystal clear waters of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. In the early years I focused on rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and brook trout. The clear water naturally honed my senses to the importance of the details in presentations.
As I evolved as an angler, I developed a strong passion for pursuing trophy lake trout that were 30 plus years in age and 30 plus pounds in weight. Trophy lake trout in the Western US are known for being very elusive and incredibly selective. Fishing for lake trout can be relatable to big game hunting. I would hunt down specific fish or small groups of very large fish relating to specific structure, then drop my artificail offerings right on them, while I watched on my sonar screen in real time via 2D sonar. These experiences shaped my discipline on the water and provided tremendous knowledge of structure fishing and how fish relate to structure. They also taught me the importance of understanding and utilizing my electronics to the fullest extent and how to get the most out of them.

Eventually, my love of fishing inspired me to become a fishing guide so I could share my passion of fishing with others. In 2016 I moved my family to Oklahoma to pursue my dream of becoming a full time guide. I chose Oklahoma for all of the water, abundant aquatic resources, and because my mother resides here as well. My family and I are proud to call Oklahoma home and I have a great appreciation and love for the fishing opportunities here!
Since moving here in 2016, I have safely and successfully guided 100s of fun and exciting trips for several different species. I take tremendous pride in the service I provide to each and every client as well as the knowledge I have developed through thousands of hours spent fishing on the reservoirs, rivers, and creeks of northeastern Oklahoma.

I encourage people of all ages and abilities to spend time fishing and I am happy to guide clients of all ages and abilities. I have successfully guided children as young as five and adults as old as 98.
